🟒 P&L: +$31.38 | January 14, 2026 Trades

Today was a green day, a good process day, and a useful lesson day. The tape was slow early and I didn’t think we’d get anything clean, which led to a few trades that weren’t necessary. They weren’t reckless, just avoidable. Up until 8:00 AM I was patient, then at 8:18 AM ROLR showed up and the day really began. I traded the front side well, extracted real edge, and built a cushion. As the move sped up, I could feel my nervous system react, so I stayed smaller to protect the day. I gave back $13.91 off a $45 high and finished green around $31.

Max loss and stops were respected, and I’m now at 13/50 - 50 share trades that count toward the 100 unlock. 66.7% win rate

Trade Breakdown

ROLR

ROLR β€” Front-side momentum (multiple executions)
Result: Strong gains, controlled giveback

ROLR was the opportunity of the day.

I traded the front side well β€” entries were early, exits were clean, and the price action was forgiving. I extracted solid cents-per-share and didn’t risk the initial profits.

As the move became faster and less structured, I shifted to smaller size. These were intentional β€œpractice” trades β€” not to make more money, but to stay engaged without risking the day and to observe how my nervous system reacts under speed.

Mistake avoided: Pressing size once the move became chaotic.
Correct adjustment: Smaller size, quicker exits, capital protection.

AZI

AZI β€” boredom attempts
Result: Small losses

These trades didn’t need to happen.

The stock wasn’t strong enough, wasn’t moving fast enough, and didn’t offer a real edge. These were taken while waiting for something better to appear.

Mistake: Participating when there was nothing worth participating in.

FEED

FEED β€” early attempts
Result: Flat to small wins/losses

I entered FEED a few times, quickly recognized poor fills or lack of follow-through, and exited. These trades were managed well, but in hindsight they weren’t necessary.

Mistake: Trading availability instead of opportunity.

CMND

CMND β€” sympathy trade
Result: Loss

This trade was taken because of what was happening in ROLR. It was slower, less clean, and didn’t meet the criteria I should’ve been waiting for.

I recognized the mistake quickly, exited, and shut things down afterward.

Mistake: Assuming momentum would transfer without confirmation.

Market Context

  • Slow tape overall

  • Few true opportunities

  • Front-side momentum was the only clean edge

  • Backside participation increased noise

This was a day where waiting mattered, and selectivity paid.

Execution Notes

Once ROLR appeared, execution improved significantly.

Before that, pressure came from waiting in a slow market and wanting something to trade. That pressure showed up as:

  • Boredom trades

  • Sympathy assumptions

  • Early participation without edge

This wasn’t panic or revenge trading β€” it was impatience.

Lesson of the Day

The rule I’m reinforcing:

Don’t participate when there’s nothing worth participating in.

Front side of strong momentum = edge.
Everything else = temptation.

Lots of trades today came from multiple in-and-outs on ROLR, and that was acceptable to me. AZI and FEED were questionable. CMND was unnecessary.

Still, I protected capital, stayed green, and shut it down intentionally.

What Went Right

  • Respected max loss

  • Honored stops

  • Adjusted size appropriately

  • Stayed emotionally aware

  • Ended the session on my terms

What Went Wrong

  • Took boredom trades early

  • Assumed sympathy momentum

  • Participated when waiting was better
