Today was a clean execution day — not because everything was perfect, and not because the market was easy, but because I stayed within myself and within my rules.

I felt comfortable back in my environment today on Ocean One. That familiarity mattered. The pressure that had been creeping in over the last two turbulent days wasn’t there. I wasn’t trading to fix anything — I was trading what was in front of me.

No rules were broken today.

Trade Breakdown

APVO

This was the most important trade of the day.

I traded the front side of the move, where my edge is clearest and the market is most forgiving. I sized appropriately there and extracted strong cents-per-share. I was genuinely grateful for what the stock gave.

I did go back for a 10-share feeler afterward to feel it out — intentionally small. When it didn’t work, I cut it quickly and did not risk my initial profit.

That decision mattered.

The big lightbulb today was not jumping back in with 50 shares to try to get more. I took the win and stopped myself from going back to the well.

Front side = bigger shares.
Back side = feelers only, if at all.

Going forward, I want to dramatically reduce backside participation. It will reduce opportunities, but it will also protect me from overtrading and emotional tilt — which is where things tend to break down.

FEED

Clean scalp.
Good structure.
No hesitation on exits.

This trade fit exactly what I want to be doing early: quick, decisive, and controlled.

ANPA

Small size, clean execution.

Nothing forced. Nothing extra. Just took what was there and moved on.

Session End

I ended the session feeling content, not wired or restless.

That’s important.

I wasn’t looking for another trade to “validate” the day. I was okay stopping while everything still felt regulated.

Market Context

  • Fast front-side pops

  • Forgiving momentum early

  • Backside continuation less reliable

This is where our scanner speed is a real advantage — getting in early, capitalizing, and locking up profit before things get noisy.

Execution Notes

What Went Right

  • 75% accuracy

  • No rules broken

  • Sized up only when confidence was there

  • Protected profits

  • Avoided over-engagement

What to Watch

  • Temptation to trade the backside

  • Reducing “just one more” trades

  • Keeping feelers small and intentional

Lesson of the Day

My edge is clearest on the front side of news-driven moves.
That area is fast, forgiving, and plays to my strengths.

Where things get difficult for me is after that initial push — when I try to squeeze more out of the move and emotion starts to creep in.

Today, I respected that boundary.

That’s progress.

Rule Reinforcement

  • Front side gets the size

  • Back side gets feelers only (if any)

  • Never risk front-side profits chasing more

  • Reduce opportunities to reduce overtrading

  • Gratitude after a win is a signal to stop
